7/26/2023 0 Comments 42a mos reclass schedule![]() Honestly in a garrison unit I just sit in an air-conditioned room everyday, listen to radios, answer 9-Lines whenever a call comes, and send weekly/monthly statistics reports for our unit to my OIC. In flight ops you'll do CAFRS (tracking crew members and their flight records), flight following (RTO and log flights in a DA 31), and other tasks specific to what kind of aviation unit you end up in. To expand as an actual 15P, since that dude hasn't even shipped yet according to his profile: You will either end up in a S3 shop/orderly room and do whatever the hell you do in an orderly room or get lucky and get a spot in a flight ops section, which is where I am. As for day in the life, there are a couple of pretty good you tubers who are 35F and they do a pretty accurate day in the life. I enjoy it sometimes, other times i wish I was doing something else. You don’t really control where you go though, unless you are re-enlisting for duty station, obviously. As you can imagine, on up at Corps and INTSCOM, the soldier tasks become even more sparse. Battalion S2s do a lot of checking clearances and in-processing, where as I am making products to brief most of the time. We also do our job a bit more in the off time between FTXs, Battalions not so much. (NTC I lived in barracks and ate at the commissary/Px) Minimal layouts but they happen. I’m lucky, at division, the field (MOST of the time) includes barracks, PX, Gym, privileges, and working out of expandos. Rucking, Field is actually the field (tents, cots, etc) NTC In The Box, layouts, etc. In the lower echelon you do a lot more soldier tasks. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards. (8) N00b / Joining questions go in the Weekly Question Thread (or Recruiter Thread) stickied at the top, in the black-on-gold link at the top, and in the sidebar.Links from USAWTFM, ASMDSS and similar at moderator discretion. Moderators reserve the right to change flair at will. The purpose of flair is so we know you have a background in a particular subject matter. (6) Please keep your flair text rank or duty-related.Post the description along with your obscure MOS code. (5) We don't all know what a 12V or a 35Q or a 94L is.This includes questions about duty stations, MOSs, boots, or what to take to the field. ![]() It is very likely that whatever you are about to post has already been posted before.
